COACHING PHILOSOPHY

To create a fundamentally strong foundation, with love and respect for the game. It is my goal to develop and mentor players to be leaders and role models in the school and community; emphasizing family atmosphere, integrity, team-first attitude, being a great teammate, strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate at a high level. It is always my goal to create a balanced season which includes the ability to create a fun and positive experience, while doing what needs to be done to achieve our goals. I believe in creating a positive culture in which traditions are built, academics are held to high standards, sportsmanship and respect are shown, and pride in our school and community is created.
 

COACHING OBJECTIVES

Off-Season – Players will be educated on their bodies, eating habits, strength programs, arm care programs, and velocity programs. Players will be held accountable, facilities and opportunities will be made available, and guest speakers and trainers brought in. All players will have an initial test to establish baseline data.  PARENTS will be educated on the importance of development.
During Season – Continued work on strength, continuous arm care program, mental strength, fundamentals, continued growth on “measurables” (velocity from all positions, speed, bat speed, etc.), challenge players to be students o the game, communication with strength coaches at Legend and constant monitoring. Players cannot maintain during the regular baseball season. It is essential that they build strength.

2024 Rockies Tickets Fundraising

We have officially launched our 2024 Rockies Ticket Fundraiser! We will share all the details at the Booster Club Meeting and have updated the information on the website.  This fundraiser is vital to our baseball program and provides additional funding for team needs not provided by the district. 

Each voucher costs $50 and can be redeemed online for two tickets to one of 70+ home games this season. There are 6 seating areas around Coors Field to choose from – any view of the field you may prefer.

We want to encourage each player to sell at least 10 vouchers (redeemable for 20 tickets) to your network of friends, family, or any Rockies baseball fan. Another great option is group sales! If you have a group of 17 or more, we can help put together a package of seats at your referral – your player gets the credit for the total tickets sold and we will do all the work once you put us in contact with them. We have sold packages from 20 to over 100 seats for different organizations – minimal work on your part and a big benefit to the program! This could be a great team building event, client appreciation night, or family night for an organization or business.
